Master of Product Design and Development Management ProgramMPD²
Affiliated with the Segal Design Institute, the Master of Product Design and Development Management (MPD2) program is intended for active professionals eager to master the concepts and tools of product design and development.
In this master’s degree program, students benefit from a highly focused curriculum that teaches crucial skills. A student must successfully complete 24 required courses to earn their degree.

Full-Time or Part-Time
The program, which takes place on Northwestern’s Evanston campus, may be completed in nine months as a full-time graduate student or in two years as a part-time student:
Two days per week, on Fridays and Saturdays
One day per week, on alternating Fridays and Saturdays, two classes each day for the standard two year part-time program.
Courses are taught on a quarterly schedule (fall, winter, and spring) with a new class of students beginning every September.

The program is highly recommended for mid- to senior- level professionals who are involved in the design and development of new products.
Those professionals who have a passion for product design and development will learn the necessary skills to ensure themselves and their companies a leadership position.

It is preferred that prospective students have a minimum of two years professional experience related to product design and development. Students typically have an undergraduate degree in design, engineering, or business. Individuals with other degrees and appropriate work experience are welcome to apply.
