Bao Wang was born and raised in Xi'an, the most ancient city in China, where he was taught traditional Chinese culture such as calligraphy and Chinese Chess.
He attended college at Peking University and the University of Hong Kong where he received a diverse education that included arts, science, and engineering, which broadened and deepened his knowledge. Arriving in the United States, the first city he lived in was San Francisco, which was his favorite before moving to Chicago.
Currently, Wang is studying engineering and working on several interdisciplinary projects in biological engineering and electrical engineering. The primary goal of his research is to help biologists improve the processing of large amounts of data.
