Prior to EDI, Rahul worked as a scientist at Defense Research and Development organization (DRDO) where he worked on various projects assuming different roles which provided a holistic view in product development cycle. Designing products to meet various requirements and piqued an interest in designing products that were more focused on human needs. Thus, Rahul decided to pursue higher studies in this field. Having experience in product designing, he wants to further develop skills in design thinking, and human centered design to help him better understand user needs.

Why EDI?

The projects that I have worked on, as an engineer, has given me tremendous opportunity to utilize different engineering tools to design a product. However I was keenly interested in understanding the process that leads to a particular design. EDI gives me an opportunity to not only understand the design process but also gives me a new perspective in designing products. EDI is all about learning the process that gives us better insight into user needs and thus helps us develop user focused products.
