Data as Art
Data as Art is an exhibition of projects from a collaborative course in data visualization between Northwestern University and School of the Art Institute of Chicago taught in Summer 2013. Students from both institutions worked across multiple disciplines, including engineering and art, to engage in a critical dialogue about information visualization and to conduct research using existing data sets. The resulting art pieces will be on view from 9am to 5pm weekdays from January 6 through January 24, 2014 in room 1.230 of the Ford Engineering Design Center.
An Opening Reception for the exhibition will take place at Ford in room 1.230 on January 8, 2014 from 5:00-6:30pm with refreshments and remarks from Dean Julio Ottino of the McCormick School of Engineering and Tiffany Holmes of SAIC. All are welcome to attend.
