Professor Liz Gerber spoke with NPR's Barbara Bogaev on Friday, January 11, 2013, during the nationally broadcast radio program Marketplace.

Gerber and Bogaev discussed why people give to crowdfunding campaigns, and what the future of crowdfunding might look like.

Gerber directs the Creative Action Lab to develop theory and technology to support collaborative innovation work. Currently, she and her students are studying and building crowd-based technologies online.

The Creative Action Lab publishes work relevant for the innovation, management, and human computer interaction communities.
